An invitation to practise with us

We are a small and dedicated group who meet regularly in Hobart and online to practise zen meditation. We also hold retreats at the base of Hobart’s beloved mountain, Kunanyi.

Please join us for our regular meditations, held in our Hobart City Dojo and online.

First and third Sunday of the month

9am to 11am - in person and online

Thursday evenings - in person and online

6.30pm to 7.30 pm - in person and online

Wednesday lunchtime

12.30pm to 1pm - in person only

Special Events

Teacher Talks

This year, we will be running a series of special events during our regular Sunday morning sits. We will be joined by one of our three teachers for Dharma talks on particular topics related to zen. We will meet at 9am for meditation in the city dojo and online, and the teacher will join us from 10am onwards. You are welcome to join us in person in the city, or online. Sesshin

18th - 23rd of July

We will be hosting our yearly retreat at kunanyi house this winter and will be joined by Kynan Sutherland Roshi. Sesshin is a fantastic time to deepen your practice and enjoy face to face time with a teacher. This retreat is non-residential for Hobart residents, with some limited accommodation available for people come from intra- or interstate. For more details, contact us on the link below
